  1. The Likewise Enterprise Agent is installed on Linux, UNIX or Mac machines turning them into Active Directory clients.
  2. The Likewise Enterprise Management Tools are used to configure AD to store UNIX and Linux information.
  3. These machines are then joined to Active Directory from a graphical tool or through deployment scripts.
  4. Existing AD management tools are then used to manage non-Windows systems and configure Group Policies for UNIX and Linux.
